Cobb Man Charged In Deadly Crash That Killed Douglasville Woman

A Powder Springs man is in jail Monday, charged with vehicular homicide after a collision that killed a 54-year-old Douglasville woman.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A Cobb County man has been charged with vehicular homicide in connection with a collision that killed a Douglasville woman on Oct. 19.

David Exume, 20, of Powder Springs, was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree felony vehicular homicide and two misdemeanor charges. He remains in the Cobb County jail as of Monday.

According to Cobb Police as reported by The Marietta Daily Journal, Ellen Shoulders, 54, was turning left out of a driveway onto Powder Springs Road when Exume’s Chevrolet Camaro struck the driver’s side of her Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Shoulders was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Exume did not require medical attention, according to the Marietta newspaper.
