Coronavirus: Douglas County Website Goes Live With Help Links
A Douglas County website devoted to all things coronavirus, complete with stats and national, state and local hep links, went live Thursday.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Douglas County unveiled a website Thursday devoted to fighting the coronavirus pandemic. The website, Coronavirus Response Douglas County, is here.
In addition to current statistics on cases and casualties in Douglas County, the website includes:
- a daily Situation Report from the Georgia Department of Public Health, with numbers throughout the state and a number for a COVID-19 Hotline, 844-422-2681;
- information on the shelter-in-place order issued Wednesday by Gov. Brian Kemp;
- maps tracking the spread of coronavirus throughout Douglas County and Georgia;
- Douglas County health and demographic statistics to help put the pandemic in perspective;
- a map of the global spread of coronavirus complete with numbers worldwide, supplied by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University;
- advice from the Center for Disease Control’s website, coronavirus.gov, on how to stem the spread of coronavirus
- links to Cobb & Douglas Public Health and the Georgia Department of Public Health with local and regional help links;
- and links to Facebook pages of Douglas County Schools and the City of Douglasville.

In addition, the website has a link to the CDC’s COVID-19 app for your smartphone.
Douglas County remains under a local state of emergency, with county courthouse closed to the general public. The five courts, however, remain open to receive filings. Parks and recreations facilities are closed, but library drive-through service is available if you call in advance. Senior services are closed to the public with the exception of meals on wheels, medical transport and homemaker services.
