1. The Criminal Investigations Division of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help to identify a suspect captured in security footage (pictured at the link) stealing an $860 picnic table. They urge anyone with information on the suspect's identification to contact Investigator Matt Martin at 678-486-1201 or smartin@sheriff.douglas.ga.us. 2. On Saturday, Oct. 7 there will be a cycling event at the Douglasville Police Department starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 10:00 a.m. The registration fee is $25.00 and includes a t-shirt. Participants must check in at 7:00 a.m. before the ride. The event is open to individuals aged 18 and up, covering a distance of 27+ miles. In case you missed it, The American Red Cross is organizing a blood drive on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the Community Room near the main police in Douglasville, running from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment, individuals can visit www.redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor code: CDPD. 4. The last Training Tuesday session of the season, organized by Main Street Douglasville and 2One Life Studio, will take place today, Oct. 3 at 6:00 p.m. inside the Douglasville Conference Center. This event is free, open to all including kids, and encourages attendees to bring their own water. 5. The Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County is offering a weeklong Fall Sampler camp during the Douglas County fall break. The camp will run from Oct. 9-13 and will include painting, crafts, sewing, and various art activities led by four specialized artists.
