DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — Douglas County inmates regularly do work for the county including cleaning roads and offices, collecting refuse and picking up trash. The sheriff's office release stats for what inmates did in September.

According to the sheriff's office, here's what county inmates got done in September.

  • Roads cleaned: 423
  • County office cleaned: 32
  • Cemeteries cleaned: 6
  • Total mattress collected: 7
  • Total tires collected: 22
  • County properties mowed: 34
  • Total bags of trash collected: 1,403
  • Total weight of trash and debris: 22,940 pounds
