- Starting Feb. 20, construction closures will affect traffic throughout Douglas County. Stewart Mill Road between Reynolds Road and Millstone Trail will be closed until Mar. 3 between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. The second wave of construction will run from Mar. 13 through Mar. 24. Drivers are suggested to seek alternate routes. (Douglas County Happenings)
- A Douglasville man was arrested for drunk driving in Hillsborough. On Jan. 11, police saw a man make an illegal turn at the SOM Center Plaza. The 69-year-old Douglasville resident smelled of alcohol and refused to take an official breath test. He was arrested and charged with Operating A Vehicle While Intoxicated and making an improper turn. (Subscription: cleveland.com)
- On Jan. 26, you can be a part of the Douglas County Symposium. Starting at 6:00 p.m., you can experience this open business forum which includes guest speakers and networking opportunities.
