Douglas County School System Gets New Director
Kathleen French spent the last 10 years as principal of Mason Creek Elementary

Douglas County Superintendent Trent North has appointed Kathleen French as director of elementary education for the school system. French has worked in the Douglas County School System for 24 years, serving as principal at four schools, the district said in a news release.
French spent the last 10 years as principal of Mason Creek Elementary. The school earned national STEM certification last year under French’s tenure.
“While I will miss the day-to-day interactions with elementary students, I am thrilled to work with all of our outstanding elementary principals,” French said in the release. “I hope my experience will be of help in improving outcomes for all of our students.”
