DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — A Douglas County Sheriff's Deputy was fired after being charged with several counts of buying alcohol for minors, according to a release from the sheriff's office.
On Aug. 4, deputies got a report of an assault at an address in Douglasville. While investigating, they found that three minors had been given alcohol by David Gibson, 23, a Douglas County deputy at the time, the release says.

As a result of that warrant, Gibson was arrested again for possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He appeared in court on Aug. 19 and was held on $4,500 bond, later to be released.
The sheriff's office says a press release wasn't initially sent out due to the nature of the ongoing drug investigation.
