  1. The Douglas County Fire/EMS Department is facing a shortage of personnel. The department is trying to fill 23 fire and EMS positions while non-emergency calls are increasing. Douglas County Fire EMS Chief Stacie Farmer said they are making strides, but it is still a struggle. (CBS 46 News)
  2. Yesterday, Aug. 23, the Georgia Supreme Court declined, for the second time, to suspend Douglas County Probate Court Judge Christina Peterson. Judge Peterson is a state probate judge facing 50 ethics charges. (Law 360)
