  1. There are still a few days left to support Volunteer Douglas' give drive! Along with the Douglas County Youth Commission, Volunteer Douglas is accepting an assortment of different items to help out the needy during the holiday season. They are accepting blankets, coats, books, non-perishable canned goods, baby food, diapers, baby formula, and more. The give drive will accept donations through Dec. 16. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Tito's Lounge will be holding a Soulful Southern Christmas event that is music to our ears. The evening will involve a wide variety of talented singers and musicians. Donna Renae, Sojo the Ladies Champ, Carletta Bush, Willie Rich, and many more will be in attendance. There will even be a performance by DJ Uncle Verge! The Christmas celebration is scheduled for Dec. 18. (Tito's Lounge Douglas)
  3. Police have arrested a Douglasville man wanted for enticing a child for indecent purposes. Anthony Santiago has been on the run since Aug. 15. Santiago was taken in thanks to the combined efforts of Hartford Police, Bristol Police, and Connecticut Police. During the arrest, police recovered four handgun and assorted ammunition. Santiago is expected to be extradited to Georgia. (NBC Connecticut)
  4. There's no shortage of things to do in Douglas County Parks this season. Upcoming events include Ice Skating at The Aquatic Center through Dec. 17, as well as Cocoa & Jazz on Dec. 16.   5. Today Connect Douglas is hosting the inaugural Paratransit Advisory Board meeting. The meeting will be held virtually and in person. The goal of the meeting is to improve services and resources for Douglasville residents with disabilities. Locals are encouraged to come to the meeting with their questions and input.
