Douglas Luncheon to Raise Stroke Awareness
The luncheon coincides with National Stroke Awareness Month.

With 3,775 stroke deaths in Georgia each year, the Live Healthy Douglas Coalition plans to do its part to raise stroke awareness in Douglas and Cobb counties.
The coalition will host an informational luncheon at 12:30 p.m. May 16, 2013 at Logan’s Roadhouse, 9380 The Landing Dr., Douglasville. The luncheon coincides with National Stroke Awareness Month.
"The coalition feels it is possible to change statistics for the better by providing people with the right information, such as knowing the signs of a stroke and how to act fast, as well as knowing your own risk factors for a stroke," Cobb & Douglas Public Health educator Beverly Kartheiser said.
