Douglas Sheriff Closing Records Division Temporarily On Friday

Background checks and records requests will be unavailable Friday morning during scheduled maintenance.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — The Douglas County Sheriff's Office will temporarily close its records division on Friday for scheduled maintenance.

The maintenance period is scheduled to last from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. During that period, things like background checks, records requests and copies of accident reports will be unavailable.

The sheriff's department took to social media to encourage residents to make requests before 5 p.m. on Thursday or after 1 p.m. on Friday.
