Douglasville 2019 Veterans Day Lighted Parade

The Veterans Day parade will honor the nation's veterans with a lighted parade at 7 p.m.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — The 20th Annual Douglas County Veterans Day Lighted Parade scheduled for Monday, Nov. 11.

The nighttime parade, which begins at 7 p.m., will kick off at Douglas County High School and go through downtown.

"Light up the night to say thank you for their service!" the Facebook event page says.

The Douglas County website says the parade is called "The Parade with a Purpose.:

"This traditional parade presents the opportunity for Douglas County residents to show appreciation to those who have obtained, preserved and continue to protect our freedoms. Veterans groups, military and reserve units, along with JROTC members are invited to participate in the annual occasion," the website says.
