Douglasville Area Restaurant Scores: Kuumba Coffee, The Hud

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Whether you're heading out for coffee, grabbing a quick lunch at work or sitting down for a nice meal at dinner, the Douglasville area has plenty of options to pick from — and several of them scored high on recent health inspections.

A total of eight Douglasville area restaurants were inspected since Oct. 28 — the last time Patch posted a restaurant score roundup for the area — in Douglasville, Lithia Springs and Villa Rica.

Of the eight restaurants, five received grades of A and three of them received grades of B. None received a grade of C or below.

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from the best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points.

Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70 and U for less than 70.
