- Join the Douglasville Police Department for free yoga twice monthly. Sessions are held on Wednesday evenings at 5:3o p.m. and last roughly an hour. Advanced registration is not required, but don't forget your yoga mat! (Douglasville Police Department via Facebook)

The survey results will be used to inform how the local government distributes information, including where important and timely updates are posted online. - The Douglas County Clerk of Superior and State Courts is warning residents about a new ploy by thieves to steal deeds from homeowners. Officials say rental properties, vacation homes, and elderly homeowners are often considered easy targets for crime. Douglas County has established an online alert system that will notify residents who sign up if there are any changes to their deeds. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card! The Douglas County branches of the West Georgia Regional Library System have plenty of events for the whole family to enjoy. - Officers with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office have arrested a local man in connection to an alleged case of child molestation. The incident was first reported on May 19, and officers took suspect Joseph Wayne Maddox into custody on Jun. 12 around 8:30 p.m. Maddox faces three counts of child molestation and one count of aggravated child molestation.
