- Vernon Parish deputies arrested 22-year-old Zaykeese Desmond Moore of Douglasville for attempted rape, sexual battery, home invasion, and other charges. He is being held at the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office jail without bond. (Kalb News)
- Tona Fenters, a Douglas County mother, claims her son's school bus has repeatedly not arrived to pick him up. Recently, her son stood outside for 90 minutes in 36-degree weather waiting for a bus that never came. Douglas County School District released a statement stating, "GPS shows before these days the driver has been at the student's stop consistently within five minutes of the time assigned in our routing system." - Tomorrow, Oct. 23, is the Artpaca Arts, Crafts & More Fall Festival. The free event includes an open-air market of local artists and vendors, live music, local food trucks, and more and is happening at 1320 Dorris Road in Douglasville. (Douglasville Patch)
