  3. An investigation is underway by Douglas County officials following a shooting incident at a Lithia Springs Waffle House. The authorities have reported that a suspect has been apprehended in connection with the incident at the Thornton Road location. By visiting the Douglasville Police Department on Tuesday, May 30, between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., community members can contribute to the collective efforts of the Douglasville Police, Douglas County Sheriff's Office (Georgia), and Douglas County Fire/EMS Department, as they strive to outperform their rivals from Haralson and Carroll Counties.
