Douglasville Police Host Active Shooter Town Hall
Police are taking the time to train the public in what to do during an active shooter situation.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — The Douglasville Police Department is hosting a town hall meeting in November focused on what to do during an active shooter situation.
The meeting, on Nov. 26, will help attendees be prepared for the "unimaginable event" of an active shooter.
The meeting will be held at the Police Department Community Building at 2083 Fairburn Rd., from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

"Active shootings/killings are tragedies that are seen on the news, but few take the steps to prepare for such an unimaginable event," police said in their Facebook event page.
The police department's training division will present information on what an active shooter is and how people can train, and prepare, to do what's needed during such an incident.
