About the Welcome Center
The current location of the Douglasville Welcome Center was originally home to Douglasville Banking Company, according to a city statement. "Built in 1904, the building is beautifully constructed of Chattanooga pressed brick with marble trimming," the statement added.
The Douglasville Welcome Center moved to the bank building in 2000. During the recent renovation, the CVB was housed at the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce until it moved into an office at City Hall.
"The Welcome Center is staffed by friendly tourism professionals who are knowledgeable about Douglasville and the metro Atlanta area," the statement added. "They can help visitors plan a stay in and around Douglasville in addition to offering a variety of services to groups who stay overnight in Douglasville and Douglas County."
