Douglasville Shooting Kills Powder Springs Teen; 4 Charged With Murder
The 17-year-old died at a local hospital after being shot in the Bill Arp area of Douglas County.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A teenage boy from Powder Springs was shot to death Wednesday evening in the Bill Arp area, and four people have been charged in connection with his death, Douglas County authorities said late Thursday afternoon.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the shooting around 6 p.m. Authorities said Brian Brown, 17, died at a local hospital of his injuries.
"Our deputies and investigators worked through the night and morning pursuing the individuals responsible for his death," authorities said in a news release.

Zayden Cooper, 17, of Douglasville, Angel Menchaca Hernandez, 21, of Villa Rica, Giovanni Omedeo, 20, of Villa Rica, and Douglas Omedeo, 20, of Villa Rica, were all charged on suspicion of felony murder and aggravated assault, authorities said.
The investigation remains active.
