Douglasville Wears Red To Raise Heart Disease Awareness

The City of Douglasville Wellness program will be conducting many informative workshops throughout the month of February.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA – February 1st kicked off the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement and the City of Douglasville participated by wearing red to aid in raising awareness for heart disease.

To commemorate the occasion, the City of Douglasville Human Resources Department took separate group photos. One photo at the police department and the second with other City staff at the Douglasville Conference Center. After the photos, the groups were provided heart disease statistics and told about the events they can expect throughout the month of February.

“We all know somebody that is affected by heart disease and we want to help raise awareness all month through our wellness program here at the City.” said Human Resources Director Teaa Allston-Bing.
