- A Douglasville community member will be on this season of American Idol! Megan Danielle, 20, previously competed on America's Got Talent and finished in the top nine. According to the Idol preview for next week, Megan will sing with a surprise guest — one of her favorite singers! Be sure to tune in. (Sportskeeda)
- If you see a credit card charge from the Douglas County Humane Society, criminals may have stolen your credit card number. The Douglas County Humane Society reports that stolen credit cards are being used on DCHS donation forms. Victims of these criminals will see $3 charged to their cards. - The Douglasville Police Department is offering free yoga classes throughout the month, and the next one is this Wednesday, Feb. 22. The classes are held at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room, which is the building next to the police department. Be sure to bring your mat! (Douglasville Police Department via Facebook)
- The Ike Owings Community Center is hosting workshops throughout the month of March to teach children how to eat healthier. This free program will show kids how to create healthy and tasty snacks all on their own. - The Douglasville Police Department will host its 2023 Bicycle Ride on Saturday, Apr. 1, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Douglasville Police Department. The registration fee is $25.00 and includes a t-shirt. Check-in time is 7:00 a.m. (Douglasville Police Department via Facebook)
- Register for the next Douglasville Police Department Citizens Law Enforcement Academy. The class will begin this Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m. All applicants need to be able to commit to attending the 10 sessions on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. There is NO FEE for this class.
