  1. One driver was killed in the I-20 crash in Douglasville yesterday, Jan. 23. Douglasville Police Department officers responded to an accident involving two cars that happened just after 6:00 a.m. on I-20 westbound near Fairburn Road. Investigators do not know the cause of the crash and the condition of the driver of the second car is unknown. This is a developing story. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. The child reported on yesterday was confirmed to be injured in a hotel shooting. The 3-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after Douglasville Police Department officers found him suffering from a gunshot wound at the Intown Suites in Lithia Springs. Police arrested Devante Porter, 23, and Jermecia Martin, 29, in connection with the shooting after conducting interviews and processing evidence. (WJCL News Savannah)
  3. In case you missed it: over the weekend, 60 Douglas County Firefighters participated in live training exercises. Participants, who were experienced firefighters with no less than one year of experience, attended the exercise to polish their knowledge of Structural Fire Control. Successful completion of this state-level class allows participants the opportunity to be certified instructors at teaching live fire training. (Press Release Desk)
