Farmers Market Popularity Extends Season Through October
The Church Street Farmers Market was initially supposed to end its season in September.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — The second season of the Church Street Farmers Market has been extended through the end of October, thanks to overwhelming popularity among both vendors and customers.
Douglasville residents will be able to visit the seasonal farmers market, located at 6730 Church Street, every Tuesday through Oct. 26 from 3-7 p.m. The market is held rain or shine, with the exception of severe thunderstorms and lightning.
Farmers market officials told the Douglas County Sentinel that it was the right decision, considering many farmers are producing late crops.
