DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A Georgia woman faces upgraded charges after police say she pushed an elderly woman in front of a car at an Atlanta hospital, ultimately leading to her death.
Police say an argument prompted Gloria Franklin, 69, to push 78-year-old Jacqueline Mixon in the path of an oncoming car March 1 at the Collier Road parking deck for Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
Mixon was taken inside the hospital for additional treatment, and paramedics arrived to provide medical care, as well.
