Throw Out Your Old Household Trash, Recycling At Douglas County's First First 'Junk Dump'

Douglas County's first Junk Dump is Saturday, where you can — you guessed it — dump your junk, such as household trash and recyclables.

The free Junk Dump runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday — or until the dumpsters are full — at the Douglas County Courthouse, 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Keep Douglas County Beautiful is hosting its very first Junk Dump this Saturday, where you can throw out your old household trash and recyclables on a "first-come, first-dump basis," according to a county news release.

The free Junk Dump runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday — or until the dumpsters are full — at the Douglas County Courthouse, 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville.

Douglasville and Douglas County residents will be able to dump anything you'd consider trash or recyclable, with a few exceptions: mattresses, paint, concrete and tires. All household trash must be in a garbage bag.

The dumpsters will be in the courthouse parking lot where residents will park and walk their bags to the dumpsters.

“We are excited to host this event for the residents of Douglas County, who would like the convenience of dumping their household trash and recyclables together without worrying about separating the items,” Keep Douglas County Beautiful coordinator Tabrieah Cobb said.
