Gravity Games Speeds Through Downtown Douglasville
Powered by gravity, the cars start racing at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Gravity will be on display Saturday in Google’s second Georgia Gravity Gamesin downtown Douglasville.
The event is a real-world experience for students and adults from across the state to use STEM ​(science, technology, engineering and math)​ ​skills ​to build and race their own gravity-powered cars.
Cars may be propelled only by gravity to get them across the finish line. ​

More than 30 teams have registered, and more than 1,000 people are expected attend.
Racing begins around 9 a.m., followed by the awards ceremony around 1:30 p.m.
