  1. Hyundai and SK On are planning to build an electric vehicle battery manufacturing facility in neighboring Bartow County. The new facility is estimated to be one of the largest economic developmental plans in Georgia history and will bring $4-$5 billion in investment to Bartow County. (Fox5Atlanta)
  2. A man was charged with shooting and killing his father in nearby Villa Rica on Wednesday morning. Aaron Pope, 28, was quickly detained by police after walking out of the house on Carrington Parkway in which the murder was committed. (WSB-TV)
  3. A new, free grocery store for students opened in Tapp Middle School in neighboring Powder Springs. The store is the fifth store opened by Goodr, a company that aims to help relieve hunger in the community. Students will be able to receive fresh fruit, vegetables, canned food, and frozen food.   4. A man charged with killing two sheriff's deputies in nearby Cobb County pleaded guilty to murder charges. Christopher Patrick Golden, 30, was sentenced to two life sentences without parole. Deputies Jonathan Randall Koleski, 42, and Marshall Samuel Ervin Jr., 38, were serving a warrant for Golden's uncle when he shot them on Sep. 8. (WSB-TV2)
