Info Sought In Douglasville Marine Veteran's Shooting Death
Joshua Mitchell, 37, was "a hard worker and (a) family man" from Douglasville, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said.

DOUGLASVILLE — Georgia and Paulding County authorities are seeking information relating to the fatal shooting of a Marine Corps. veteran who was found dead a year ago outside of a Warrenton Drive home.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Sunday deputies were dispatched Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022 to the 500 block of Warrenton, where they found 37-year-old Joshua Mitchell laying in the driveway outside of the home's garage.
Mitchell, of Douglasville, had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, the GBI said. The Paulding County Sheriff's Office requested the GBI's assistance.

The GBI said Mitchell was known as a contractor in metro Atlanta, "a hard worker and (a) family man."
Warrenton is within the Abbington Subdivision in Douglasville, located in unincorporated southern Paulding County, the sheriff's office said at the time of Mitchell's death.
A motive is unknown, and suspects have not been revealed in the case.
