InToneNation Named Grand Marshall Of July 4 Parade
Floats and parade participants will begin lining up on Fairburn Road at 9 a.m. with the parade beginning at 10 a.m.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA -- Mayor Rochelle Robinson announced that the grand marshall for the 2019 Douglasville 4th of July Parade will be award-winning a cappella group InToneNation from New Manchester High School. The group recently took first place at the 2019 International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA), the city said in a news release.
“I am so excited to honor such talented and hardworking young people at the 4th of July parade this year,” Robinson said.
Floats and parade participants for the 2019 parade will begin lining up on Fairburn Road at 9 a.m. with the parade beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will run west bound on Church Street and continue to Selman Drive marking the end of the route.

Following the parade, the celebration will continue from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Hunter Park. Families will be able to enjoy face painting, bounce houses, arts and crafts, and music. An ice cream truck will also be on hand, the city said.
The celebration will conclude with the annual fireworks display at dusk sponsored by Greystone Power corporation. The best option to view the display this year will be at the parking lot of Arbor Place Mall, which will host a large viewing event, the city added. A musical tribute to Motown will be held on the MVP/Coca-Cola stage in front of the mall entrance. There will also be a fashion show hosted by Dillard’s.
