  1. This week marks the 45th anniversary of "I Love the Nightlife (Disco 'Round)," a song that has its roots in a 100-year-old Douglasville home. Susan Hutcheson, who still lives in the house, wrote the song with singer Alicia Bridges and is a member of the Douglas County Hall of Fame. The song was released in the summer of 1978 and received a Grammy nomination. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. Douglasville Parks and Recreation is offering a flag football clinic for girls between the ages of seven and 12 this summer. The Douglas County School System is holding a recruitment fair for non-teaching positions next Wednesday, Jun. 28, from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Representatives from areas with vacancies, including the Transportation and School Nutrition departments, will be on-site to provide information and conduct interviews.
