- A Douglasville native has been named a recipient of a Fulbright Award. Neal Daniel is currently a sophomore at the University of Miami, where he is majoring in innovation, technology, and design. Daniel has been selected to study at the Glasgow School of Art and the University of Strathclyde in Scotland this summer. (University of Miami News)
- A Place in the Heart Theatre Company is hosting auditions today for roles in "Old Timers The Musical," a gospel-based production. Performers ages seven and up are encouraged to audition for a variety of roles including singers, dancers, actors, and actresses. Auditions will take place at 8434 Price Avenue from 6:00-10:00 p.m. tonight. (Eventbrite)
- The Douglasville Police Department is hosting a free public handgun clinic today, and spots are still open. Instruction will be offered in basic gun laws, handgun safety, and shooting skills.
