DOUGLASVILLE, GA – Main Street Douglasville recently released the dates, times, and locations of their many 2019 events happening in Downtown Douglasville.

“We had a successful 2018 with so many great events,” said Brieana Watts, Main Street coordinator,“We’re looking to improve on those signature events and bring some new and exciting events to Downtown Douglasville in 2019.”

Each year Main Street Douglasville holds four signature events: the Ultimate Block Party, Ice Cream Social, Food Truck Mondays, and the annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting.

In 2019, the Ultimate Block Party will be held on Friday, April 26 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Old Police Precinct, located at 6730 Church Street. The Ultimate Block Party offers participants the opportunity to experience everything that highlights the City of Douglasville community.

The ever-popular Food Truck Mondays will occur every Monday in June 2019. The first three Mondays will be during lunch, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., while the final Monday in June will be held during the dinner hours, 5 to 8 p.m. Food Truck Mondays also take place at the Old Police Precinct.

To help celebrate National Ice Cream Day, Main Street Douglasville holds their annual Ice Cream Social. The 2019 Ice Cream Social will be held on Sunday, July 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. on O’Neal Plaza. The City of Douglasville and other civic organizations will be on hand to distribute over 2,500 free servings of ice cream.

The conclusion of Main Street Douglasville’s 2019 events ends with the Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting celebration. “We are eager to build on last year’s successful Miracle on Mainstreet event,” Brieana Watts said of last year’s Christmas parade. For 2019, the parade and tree lighting will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 in front of the Douglasville Conference Center located at 6700 Church Street.
