Man Found Shot To Death At Douglasville Home
Paulding County Sheriff Gary Gulledge called the fatality a "complex case" and said "no stone has been left unturned" in the probe.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A 30-year-old man was recently found shot to death in his Riverbend Trail home, the Paulding County Sheriff's Office said Friday.
Authorities said a neighbor alerted law enforcement around 3:45 p.m., Jan. 11, to Riverbend after he found the man unresponsive at the home.
When deputies arrived, authorities said they identified the man as resident Charvis Terrence Baulding. Authorities said Baulding died of gunshot wounds. It is unknown how long Baulding had been dead before he was located.

Due to preliminary findings, authorities said his death is being ruled a homicide. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is partnering with the sheriff's office on the case.
“This is a very complex case," Paulding County Sheriff Gary Gulledge said in a news release. "We have taken an enormous amount of time to ensure that no stone has been left unturned in this investigation. I know it may seem like we may not be working as quickly as the family may want, but we are working diligently in conjunction with the GBI to ensure we find out who killed Charvis Baulding. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his grieving family.”

While residents in the area are not in any immediate danger, authorities warn them to be aware of their surroundings.
