Man Shoplifts Nails, Gets Nailed And Goes To Jail: Police
A Lawrenceville man was arrested at a Douglasville Home Depot Sunday for shoplifting a $5 box of nail-gun staples, according to police.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A Lawrenceville man who police say tried to steal a $5 box of nail-gun staples from the Thornton Road Home Depot was himself nailed and jailed Sunday night.
Brett Douglas Laman Gravitt, 22, was charged with theft by shoplifting, fleeing a police officer and obstruction of officers when he was caught after placing a box of nail-gun staples in his jacket and leaving the store, according to the warrant as reported by The Douglas County Sentinel.
County records as reported by the Sentinel show that Gravitt’s bond was set at $5,500. Gravitt bonded out of the Douglas County Jail on Tuesday.
