  1. A Douglasville man was shot by a Georgia State Patrol trooper Wednesday after leading the officer on a pursuit. Officials say 19-year-old Montrez Ballard got out of his vehicle and ran after troopers performed a PIT maneuver on his car, leaving it inoperable. Ballard was transported to a local hospital for treatment following the shooting. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. The 15th annual SHARE House 5k and Fun Run is scheduled for Sep. 16, and registration is now open. The race organizers are also seeking local businesses interested in participating as sponsors for the run. Proceeds from the run with benefit the SHARE House Family Violence Crisis Center.   3. A Douglasville native has signed on to join the University of Oregon women's basketball team. Kennedi Williams signed with the Ducks as a senior and played the past four seasons at Liberty University. Last season, the five-foot-seven guard averaged 4.6 assists per game. (Addicted To Quack)

The Artpaca Spring Festival Pop-Up Market is in Douglasville today, Jun. 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event offers free entry and features booths with local vendors, food trucks, a kids' bounce house, and more.
