Mason Creek Elementary Welcomes New Principal
Kristin Martin has worked for the Douglas County School System since 2006, most recently as assistant principal at South Douglas Elementary.

Douglas County Superintendent Trent North has appointed Kristin Martin as principal of Mason Creek Elementary, effective July 15, the district said in a news release. Martin will replace Kathleen French, who has accepted a new position with the school system as director of elementary education.
Martin has worked for the Douglas County School System since 2006, most recently as assistant principal at South Douglas Elementary.
“I am very excited about this opportunity,” Martin said. “I am looking forward to getting to know the parents, staff, and students at Mason Creek Elementary. I know that together we will continue to improve the educational experience for all students.”

Martin and her husband live in Douglas County with their four children. Her oldest child graduated from Alexander High School in 2018 and now attends the University of Georgia. The other three children all attend schools in Douglas County.
