Douglasville Mom, Who Lost Her Son To Suicide, Commemorates His Life With Public Garden
Kemiko Lawrence built the Quadir Lawrence Infinity Memorial Garden in her yard and dedicated it to her son, who died in March.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — After Kemiko Lawrence's son, Quadir, took his own life in March, she decided to try and make something positive out of his death, the Douglas County Sentinel reported.
Lawrence built and dedicated the Quadir Lawrence Infinity Memorial Garden in her yard in her son's memory to bring awareness and education about mental health and suicide. The initial garden has been completed, with a Phase 2 still coming that will include a mural of Quadir, according to the Sentinel.
The garden is open to the public by appointment. Anyone wishing to visit can call and leave a message with a Google Voice service at 770-648-4450.
