- Multiple injuries have been reported after a pickup truck crashed through a Douglasville bagel shop. On Monday morning, reports came in of a car driving through The Bagel Meister on Chapel Hill. The drivers of the vehicle were said to be an elderly couple. Several people inside the shop were taken to the hospital. As of Tuesday, there has not been an official statement on the number or severity of the injuries. (WSBTV)
- Frozen water pipes are causing serious complications throughout Douglas County. Officials have been asking drivers to avoid the intersection of Highway 5 and Douglas Boulevard due to flooding from burst pipes since Christmas Eve. 911 calls have skyrocketed with Douglasville residents seeking help with pipe issues. Officials are encouraging homeowners to use their main shut-off valve if necessary. (Press Release Desk)
- Gamers, get ready! The Super Smash Bros. Tournament is headed to Douglas County Library, and it looks like it's going to be an intense competition. The event will take place from Jan. 5 to Jan. 6. All teenagers are welcome to compete! (West Georgia Regional Library)
- With temperatures remaining dangerously cold throughout the area, Douglas County decided to open an emergency warming station on Monday. The warming station remained open overnight to provide shelter and care to the homeless. The warming station was set up at First United Methodist Church.
