DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A group from Georgia Power participated in Monday's Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service by volunteering with the city and Douglas County High School students, according to a release from Georgia Power.
Citizens of Georgia power, the employee volunteer initiative of the company, had members planting trees and taking on landscaping projects throughout the day.
The project, organized by "Keep Douglasville Beautiful," was part of an annual event to honor King's legacy through community service.
