Qualifying Closes In Douglas County: See Who's On The May Primary Ballot

The candidate qualifying period for the May 24 primaries closed Friday, and only a handful of races won't have opposition in Douglas County.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — Qualifying for the May 24 primary and nonpartisan elections in Georgia closed Friday, and most Douglas County legislators and representatives will have opposition this year.

Ballots for Douglas County voters will include county commissioners in districts 1, 3 and 4; school board members in districts 2, 3 and 4; solicitor general; chief magistrate judge; superior court judge; state Senate districts 28, 30 and 35; state House districts 61, 64, 65, and 66; U.S. Senate; and U.S. House of Representatives districts 3 and 13.

The ballots will also include statewide elections, such as governor, secretary of state, attorney general, agriculture commissioner, insurance commissioner, state school superintendent and labor commissioner.
