Publix Limits Some Thanksgiving Dinner Staple Purchases
Ahead of the holiday, Publix placed purchase limits on some items, including Thanksgiving ingredients as well as other non-holiday foods.
GEORGIA — Shopping carts from Publix won't be as full for shoppers this Thanksgiving after the store said it has limited how many items customers can buy of many products that are essential to holiday dinners, multiple news outlets reported.
High holiday demand and supply problems have forced the chain to limit the purchase of certain items to two per customer, Maria Brous, director of communications told WFLA in Florida. Signs will be placed next to the items that have a buying limit.

- Canned cranberry sauce
- Jarred gravy
- Canned pie filling
- Canola and vegetable oil
- Cream cheese
- Bacon
- Rolled breakfast sausage
- Paper napkins
- Disposable plates, cups, and cutlery
- Bath tissue
- Refrigerated snacks (Lunchable type items)
- Sports drinks
- Aseptic type juices (Capri sun)
- Canned cat food (variety packs)
- Refrigerated pet food
The limits will be enacted across all seven states where Publix operates, including Georgia. A Publix spokesperson did not indicate how long the policy would be in place.
