School Continuing As Normal Amid Investigation Into Social Media Threat Against CHMS
The school day is continuing as normal while authorities investigate a threat made against Chapel Hill Middle School via social media.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Chapel Hill Middle School officials said an alleged threat was made against the school via social media, and extra officers are on campus Monday in response to the threat, Douglas County School System spokesperson Portia Lake told Patch in an email.
Parents received a message from the district Monday morning, saying there was a threat to CHMS posted on social media Sunday night. The DCSS Police Department, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and administrators are investigating the threat, and parents are expected to be informed of the outcome.
However, Lake said there's no emergency on campus. School is continuing as normal Monday.
