Teen Accused Of Murder Arrested: Douglas County Sheriff's
The sheriff's office announced Monday night it had arrested Nathanael Michael Searcy in connection with a shooting death in Lithia Springs.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — The sought in connection with a March 16 shooting death in Lithia Springs was arrested Monday by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Nathanael Michael Searcy, 17, is charged with felony murder in connection with the shooting death of Melvin Porter, 21, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Douglas County Sheriff's deputies found Porter dead in a minivan when they responded Tuesday to reports of a vehicle collision and shots fired in the Silver Creek subdivision of Lithia Springs.

After interviewing witnesses and examining home-security video, investigators said they had identified Searcy as Porter's killer.
Two men identified by the sheriff's office as Searcy's associates had already been arrested: Abdulmujeeb Adisa Raji and Kyle James Girard. Both were charged with being party to a crime, and Girard was charged with tampering with evidence and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. The Douglas County Sentinel reports that both men are in the Douglas County Jail without bond as of Monday.
