- The Douglasville Police Department is holding a Community Job Fair today, Mar. 25! Of the employers in attendance, several are seeking individuals to start immediately. Attendees can expect the following businesses to be in attendance: Graham Spray Equipment, iCommute Kids Transportation, Elwood Staffing, and many more. - The City of Douglasville is holding a Special Meeting on Mar. 30. Taking place at the Douglasville Conference Center on Mar. 30 at 5:30 p.m., the public is invited to attend a special meeting to adopt the 2024 fiscal year budget. - A local judge recently read to a class of elementary school students. Juvenile Court Judge Talia Nurse visited students at Eastside Elementary School as part of the school's “Ladies Love Literacy” event. She read to students and educated them on her job as a judge. (GACourts via Twitter)
- District 1 will see the Douglas County Comprehensive Plan this week. Residents of District 1 will have two upcoming opportunities to review critical elements of the land use vision of the Douglas County Comprehensive Plan. The first is at the Town Hall meeting on Mar. 30, and the second is on Apr. 1 at a Coffee and Conversation event with Commissioner Henry Mitchell III. (Celebrate Douglas County)
