Truck Rear-Ends Tractor-Trailer, Kills Powder Springs Woman
The accident involved a Chevrolet Silverado, a Chevrolet Avalanche, a GMC Sierra and a semi. The other three drivers were uninjured.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A Powder Springs woman died Friday in Douglas County when her truck was involved in a collision with two other trucks and a tractor-trailer on Thornton Road.
The Georgia State Patrol reports that Doris Hart, 67, drove her Chevrolet Silverado into the rear of the tractor-trailer after sideswiping a Chevrolet Avalanche at the intersection of Thornton and Veterans Memorial Parkway. The tractor trailer then rear-ended a GMC Sierra in front of it, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Hart was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other three drivers were uninjured. No other information was available.
