  1. Mark your calendars! The Douglasville Police Department will be holding a Community Job Fair on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All employers in the Douglasville area are welcome and encouraged to participate whether they are looking for full time or part time employees. There will be a variety of careers at the event, and anyone looking for work is encouraged to stop by. (Douglasville Police Department via Facebook)
  2. The West Georgia Spay & Neuter Clinic will be hosting an Affordable Vaccine Clinic. An appointment is required, but there will be a variety of different vaccines available for an affordable price. The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 5. A $12 deposit is required to secure a spot, in addition to the services your pet will receive. Make sure to register today, as there are only a limited amount of spots left!   3. Screen on the Green will take place tomorrow night at 8:30 p.m. in Fowler Field Park. There be a screening of "Encanto" along with games, food trucks, and a variety of fun activities to participate in.   4. The Douglasville Parks and Recreation will be holding a Senior Picnic on Jul. 16 for adults ages 50 and older! The event is completely free and will take place from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m. Not only will there be lots of food, but there will be music and games as well.   5. Registration for the Douglasville Soccer Mini Clinic will close tomorrow, Jul. 8. The camp will take place Jul. 18 and 19 at Fowler Field Park and is open to all children aged 9-14. Not only will the camp go over the fundamental of the sport, but it will also train campers by using game like scenarios. The registration fee is $35; those interested can sign up here.
