- Keep your child entertained and learning at the same time at the Douglas County Public Library. The next Storytime event for small children will be held on Jan. 9. There will be stories, music, games, and more! Be there at 10:00 a.m. to get in on the fun. (WGRZ)
- Let the whole family get creative together with this fun painting class. Painting With a Twist on GA-5 in Douglasville will be holding a special Family Event at noon on Jan. 14. Everyone from little children on up will be able to create their own cute Sliding Penguin painting! You are welcome to bring your own snacks and refreshments. (Painting With A Twist)
- The Douglas County Public Library will be holding another one of its popular matinee film screenings on Jan. 12 at 4:30 p.m. This month's matinee showing will be "Frozen." All ages are welcome to attend this fun event. Popcorn and drinks will be served. (WGRLS)
- The Douglasville Police Department will be holding its next Community Enrichment Meeting on Thursday, Jan. 12 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. These meetings are designed to help local residents get more involved in programs that better the Douglasville community. If you want to get involved, stop by the Douglasville Public Safety Complex Community Room (2083 Fairburn Road) on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month. (Douglasville Georgia)

On Jan. 10, Parks Community will be hosting the Community Vision Board Workshop at Ike Owings Community Center at Hunter Park.
