Here are the top five stories in Douglasville today:
- A local finance leader is offering a new AI-based course for business loan brokers. Cheryl Tibbs and her company AI Marvels designed the course to help brokers improve their lead-generation tactics and automate tasks that once had to be done manually. The course is currently open for enrollment online. (isStories)
- The University of West Georgia recently received a grant to improve the equipment and infrastructure behind the university's portable alert system. The upgraded system will be deployed across UWG's campuses in Douglasville, Carrollton, and Newnan. Implementation of the new system is expected to be complete by Spring 2024. (The City Menus)
- A Douglasville teen has been named as an alternate for Team USA in the 2023 Goalball Youth World Championships. Christopher Morgan and Khayree Lofton, a second alternate, will join the five-player team for the championship next month in Sao Paulo, Brazil. - Farmer's Table in Douglasville will host a special Summer Market tomorrow, Jun. 24. The event will run from 12:00-5:00 p.m. Stop by to enjoy local vendors, live music, food trucks, and more. (Douglasville Patch)
