Video Honoring Crime Victims To Be Shown At Regal Cinemas
The Douglas County DA's Office has created a video to honor crime victims during National Crime Victims' Rights Week.
DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA -- The Douglas County District Attorney’s Office invites the Douglas County community to a breakfast reception honoring National Crime Victims’ Rights Week on April 10, at 11 a.m. at the Douglas County Courthouse.
The reception will include a viewing of the full length Public Service Announcement produced by the District Attorney’s Office in partnership with DCTV23. The PSA was made possible by federal funding awarded to the District Attorney in order to promote community awareness of crime victims’ rights and services during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, April 7 – 13, 2019.
The funding has been used for a multimedia awareness campaign including local print publications, sponsored social media content, and a public service announcement airing at the Arbor Place Regal Cinemas throughout Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Funding comes from the U. S. Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) through the National Association of VOCA Assistance Administrators (NAVAA). Douglas County District Attorney’s Office was one of the 92 applicants recommended by NAVAA and selected for funding by OVC for 2019 from the 200 applications that were submitted nationwide.
