What's Open, Closed In Douglasville For Thanksgiving 2021
The Thanksgiving holiday will result in some closures and schedule changes on Nov. 25 and surrounding days.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Thanksgiving is not only a time to share a meal with extended family and friends, but it's also a federal holiday with closures for government, schools and other services.
While Thanksgiving is a federal holiday, some services may continue their closures on Friday. Here are the openings and closings to know on and around Thursday, Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, Nov. 26 (Black Friday):
- City of Douglasville government offices will close at 3 p.m. Wednesday and stay closed all day Thursday in observance of the holiday.
- Douglas County government offices and courts are closed Thursday and Friday.
- West Georgia Regional Library System branches are closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday; however library's digital resources are available 24/7.
- The Douglas County School System is on Thanksgiving holiday from Nov. 22-26.
- Douglasville garbage pickup: For residents within Douglasville's city limits, Thursday pickup routes will be picked up Wednesday instead.
- This is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices are closed Thursday. There will be no mail delivery or pickup, with the exception of Priority Mail Express, which is delivered 365 days per year.
- All banks will be closed.
- Many retailers will be closed or operate on adjusted hours for Thanksgiving. Check here.
